So...The book isn't from the best I've read. There are things which are cute and sweet but I don't like a lot of things.Well, the main idea was good. It seemed interesting. To have "chosen" and all the other stuff. The problem was the writing. I just didn't liked it. There was a LOT of explanation for people clothes. Okayy... There is nothing bad in describe people but to write almost half a book for there clothes...The book was ( little) boring. I was reading it for like three days, which is a lot for such book and for me. The characters aren't really bad. Keegan started to annoy me at the middle of the book but it wasn't so bad. I am going to read the next book and I REALLY hope it to be better cause if it's not I don't know if I will be able to read the last book. This book was so intriguing. Most of the time I do not think fantasy elements work in our modern culture. However I think Julia Crane did this in such a great way. Elves and other creature live among us. They blend in. Elves are not as drastically different as we think. Yes there ears come to a point but in a small barely noticeable way.Keegan is an elf who is fun and full of adventure and life. She is a little spoiled and takes things for granted. She dreams of her intended Rourk. Elves have a chosen that they will end up with when they turn eighteen. Rourk is aware of Keegan and would do anything to protect her.A prophecy has been told. The prophecy will come true and the battle will happen. Who is left standing and who will perish will be revealed. You need to read to find out cause I do not do spoilers.I have a new book boyfriend. I am so in love with Rourk. My only complaint about this book was that I need book 2, like now! Julia left me wanting more. I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars. This book is a must read and now I am wondering why I did not read Julia Crane's books sooner.
Easy fast read. I was intrigued and would like to continue reading the series.

This book wasn't really my style. It felt shallow and rushed.
