I've read many, many romances featuring the Elizabeth and Jane Bennets of the world, but this was my first romance novel which featured a heroine who overwhelmingly reminds me of Lydia Bennet. In this novel, spoiled unthinking brat Marissa gets her come-uppance and grows up. She recognizes her own folly and isn't ashamed to grovel when she realizes she is wrong, which makes her all the more endearing. Jude is an amazing, intriguing sweet hero who I adored.Overall, I must say, that I found the book refreshing, fun, and different. Usually the horn-ball females in the romance world are the villains, but in this one she gets her own HEA. Me likey. A few days ago I read a book called It's always been you by Victoria Dahl. I thought it was an only book, you know, not part of the series. There were few characters I would've liked to read more about. So yesterday I went to the bookstore and I found this book. And you can possibly guess how fun it was that this book was about the couple I wanted to read more about. If only I had found this book first, because it actually is the first part, but oh well...So about this book: I loved it!! It tells the story of Marissa York who founds herself compromised and her brothers says she have to marry to save her reputation. Jude Bertrand, Marissa's brother's friend offers to marry her, but she isn't so happy about the plan. Jude is big, not that handsome and his past is quite scandalous. But they get to know each other and Marissa begins to see that perhaps Jude is right for her...I really liked this book and Jude is a very interesting character with a past and I hated to see how he was treated because of it. But it was great to see that he himself doesn't hold that against him. Atleast not anymore =)I really hope there will be a part three in the series. I wanna read what happens to Edward and who will be his happy ever after=)
