Probably the most accessible BDSM story I've ever read. I found the details about her past relationship a bit creepy, but the present day stuff reminded me of "The Secretary" (which I classify as Rom/Com and adore). I love it when a character finds strength and acceptance, and it's a wonderful twist when the big, bad hero gets this from the sweet, submissive heroine.re-read Feb 2014: Every time I read TALK ME DOWN I want to read THE WICKED WEST. Coming back to it after several other "BDSM" books, I love this short even more. This was my first story by Victoria Dahl (aka Holly Summers) and it wont be my last. A sweet BDSM (spanking and mild bondage) story between Hale (kind and caring but with a dark side that frightens him witless) and Lily (widow, English who shares his passion). This was a really nice story with all the elements of a full length story, written in a more compact style. I found myself pulled into and mesmerized by this touching story of two poeple who meet up by a twist of fate, share the same passion but also know how to treat each other with loving respect.
