Surely guys don't fall in love at first sight. It took more than that, right? A smile, a laugh, a conversation where Kat's wit was evident and her sense of humor kicked Bryan in the gut. Her warm brown eyes captivated him and her presence became his favorite drug. But no he wasn't falling for her. He couldn't. Kat was Nate's little sister. There was a clause against falling for your best friend's baby sister. But Bryan couldn't help himself. So they fell together. And then he broke her heart. Told from Bryan's POV, 'Caught Up In Her' tells the story of the summer when Bryan and Kat Harper met and fell in love. It is sweet and tells readers a bit more about his interactions with Nate and Jess, Kat's brother and his sister. I have a way with reading Lauren Blakely's work it seems. I find the novellas randomly and become so hooked based on the contents of them that I fall in love with the full length novels too. This one is no exception. I loved this story. It was short, but oh so sweet. I liked Bryan and Kat a lot and the way they came to fall for each other was brilliant really because it seemed natural. Finding a girl you've got tons of things in common with, I mean for a guy that's gotta be pretty damn cool and that's exactly how Bryan was. It made the characters real which made me like the story even more.Having it told from his point of view was another bonus. I love being inside the male main characters head in a romance. Not everyone can write it flawlessly when they aren't the gender they're writing, but Lauren does. Seeing it all through his eyes with a little bit of Kat thrown in for fun was great. I definitely have to get the full length to this now so I can see how their love story unfolds, or at the very least so I can get my happy ending because what he did ain't working for me LOL. Great novella, excellent story and a must read for any romance fan!
