Logan, the one man I love from the start. His smoking body and piercing gray eyes are to die for. He is the type of courageous, macho man that knows how to handle situations and fear. Cat falls in love with him, who wouldn't?It was a good book, very romantic and moving. It exemplified and glorified the ranch estate and lives though. Cat Calder wasn't a constant character. In the beginning of the book she was strong and independent, but once she fell in love with Logan she became weak and dependent. Very cliched with the women becoming submissive to their husbands when they fall in love. Cat became submissive and in love from one day to the next, having no room for personal development and for the love to grow between them. It was almost systematic and planned.Also, the story seems simple, plain, and bland. When the bad guy of the story goes after the Calder family, nobody suspects anybody else. Making it not a mystery or anything else. The thrilling moments lasted very short because there wasn't anything to wonder or be thrilled about. The chase wasn't exciting and what happened in the end was kinda expected.I like this book for the romance Logan brought to the table. He is so sweet, the kind of man that would protect you and love you forever. Cat is so lucky XD!!!

I started reading this book thinking it was purely a fluff romance novel and my brain needed the break so I dove in. Well I was wrong, unless somewhere along the way(thank you Lifetime) sickos kidnapping children became romantic.Its too bad too, because I loved the Calder family, Culley and Logan. I wanted to watch that unfold more. I loved the back and forth between Cat and Logan. I really enjoyed the closeness Cat had with Culley and the fact that Culley always did what Cat needed even if it wasn't exactly what she wanted. He never broke a promise though.The bad family were just over the top sick. Do people like that exist? Yes probably. Do I want them in my romance novel? heck no. Lath makes your skin crawl in every scene he is in. And then we don't get to enjoy his death. Weak.

usually this theme is done in the 1800s, and i didnt like how this played out in modern times. i didnt like how she slept with a stranger either.and then when he comes back into town years later, and finds the kids age out and the fact that he looks like him, hes like who's your mother? really blase about the whole thing.usually the guy is like omg i have a kid.but this one barely reacted.the whole somethin somethin "calder pride" was kind of annoying to read. &then he convinces her to marry
