About book Brain Rules For Baby: How To Raise A Smart And Happy Child From Zero To Five (2010)

Very informative and entertaining guide book for newbie parents like me! The best part is that it is based on lots of filtered and carefully considered scientific research from multiple and sometimes opposing angles so it gives you all the information to help make better choices as parents. I have to say that I really found the non preachy and more logical tone of this book to be a winner and I definitely learned a lot of new insights without feeling like I've been shamed or guilt-tripped into any particular "fad" parenting style. Received from Goodreads First Reads. The author defines brain rules as the things 'we' know for certain about how the early childhood brain works and that sets the tone for the book. The tone throughout the book is good, providing practical tips for parents and goes with the 'tried and true'.One thing that really stood out for me as a big plus is that, if the research is not there for a certain point, the author says so.Definite recommendation.
