Seriously, hockey players are hot including Brody in this book. And apparently, they've got lots of game. Hayden decides to take her sex life into her own hands and approaches Brody with the intent of having a one night stand. Bravo for Hayden!I like that it's Brody who displays his vulnerability in this story compared to Hayden. Hayden sometimes comes off as being unsure of what she wants i.e. Doug or Brody. Although she did step up later by confessing to Doug and not hiding Brody and also when she met up with her step-mother who she obviously does not harbour any affections for. The best part of this book? The epilogue - loved it! Ended the book in such a sweet and satisfying way. For me, this was one of those stories that was a pleasant read but, it wasn't one that'll be running around in my head for several days like a lot of the books I read do. I guess I'd say it was just average. The characters didn't really pull me in like they could have. I wanted to see Hayden and Brody stay together, but I didn't feel that compelling need to hurry to the end. I didn't feel a connection to Presley Houston and his scandal or any of the secondary characters either.
