She was such a complex character. Broken and lost, but once she found Phillip, Reese, & dance. She blossomed into such a amazing person. Boarded By Love is a collage Esc spin of of the assassins series. And I loved the new characters you get to meet & all the old friends that you fell in love with in the assassins series. It was a great mix, and followed really well together. Claire Anderson & Jude Sinclair are a new book couple that fans of toni will defiantly fall in love with and root on. Claire who is a sassy, take no shit, beautiful, dancer. And Jude a hot, hunky, tattooed, hockey playing, cocky dream boat. �� Together make a sexy couple. They both come from extremely different back rounds, but that doesn't stop them from falling In Love, and fast. I may be a sucker for romance and happily ever afters, but I thought it was amazing that Claire and Jude fell In love so quickly. They have to learn to trust and let things go, and deal with drama in each others family's. But they make it work. It felt Fairytaleish but real at the same time. Besides the fact that they fall for each other so fast, they still deal with real life things and real relationship ups and downs. The banter between them was my favorite thing out the story besides there sexy times. �� (Fans Self) I can't wait to read the next two Sinclair brothers stories. And hopefully we'll see a lot more Claire and Jude in the future. 4 CrownsBook 1 in the new Bellevue Bullies series and a spin off of the bestselling Assassins series. You do not need to have read the Assassins series to read this.So my biggest weakness when it comes to reading is MC Romance. I have to tell you though that that is closely followed by Ice Hockey Romance. I know they are complete poles apart but I love the big hulking alpha's that these books seem to spawn. Weirdly though, being British I know nothing about Ice Hockey but then I don't know any MC's either.This book, for any Assassins fans is Claire Anderson's story. We met Claire in the most recent Assassins book as she is the wild and difficult niece and ward of star player Philip. Claire has now gone off to college and has seemingly turned over a new leaf.Being away at college has been amazing for Claire, she misses her family but has been able to forge a new and independent life for herself; still teaching dance and now earning loads of money working at Miss Prissy's Burlesque club. Whilst dealing with the fallout from an ex boyfriends infidelity she catches the eye of the Bellevue Bullies star player and man-whore of the campus Jude Sinclair. Jude is determined to get this red headed beauty in his bed, but when he gets to know more about the unattainable Claire Anderson, he may just turn over a new leaf himself.When feelings grow on both sides, will Jude's indiscretions of the past undermine their relationship? How will Claire's overprotective Uncle react to the cocky upstart? and when secrets are revealed, where will it leave their love for each other?I really enjoyed this book. I loved Claire's character in Breaking Away and was surprised when I realised that she would kick of a new series as I honestly expected her to end up with an Assassins player. I loved her growth in this book and although still haunted by her past and it still effecting some of her decision making, she has learned to move on and now believes that she deserves happiness. Jude is just perfect for her. The changes he makes for the love of Claire made me swoon. He is hot and he knows it, as do most of the female population of the college. He is always honest and truthful with Claire though, he is what he is and he makes no apologies for it. He too has a mixed background. Loving brother to his 3 siblings (2 of whom also play Hockey - which hopefully we will see more of in future books) and a loving son to a mother he adores, he has a very difficult relationship with a father that shows no love and criticises him at every turn. He lives for Hockey and the chance to be first picking in the NHL draft.The relationship they have is beautiful to read about and the obstacles they face are ones that many young people face when pursuing love. I will be honest now and say that I felt it was a little drawn out in parts and I would have liked it to move a little quicker at times. BUT this is a great start to a new series and I love how Toni Aleo has combined the whole college/hockey romance together.I look forward now to book 2 and obviously wonder who our main protagonists will be. Maybe Jayden? or Skyler? Who cares. As long as I'm getting a hot Hockey player, I will always be happy!!A great read for Assassin fans and anyone who enjoys a good college romance.
