About book Bleach, Volume 34: King Of The Hill (2011)

I hadn’t realized it had been over a year since I picked up Bleach. I was sure that it was only a few months since I read number 33 (I keep records) so I pretty shocked to see that it’s now nearly 50 volumes long and the library got half way caught up. Honestly, if I wasn’t getting this free from the library I would have stopped years ago.It opens with Orihime half way to rescued by Ichigo but the Espadas pretty much handed him and all his friends their butts last volume. Nel sheds her little girl form for her true Espada form, not that it helps much. Just before the death blow, several captains appear to save the day sort of. Mayuri, Byakuya and Kenpachi (and their assistants) join the fray and we have another hundred pages of battle scenes and about 2 seconds of plot, most of it coming from creepy Mayuri. Do You like book Bleach, Volume 34: King Of The Hill (2011)?

Bleach was definitely very interesting to read and different to what I usually read. I enjoyed the whole soul reaper concept and how we find out more and more about the main character as the story goes on.It's a fast read and is easy to understand but gets progressively more difficult to follow parts of the story due to there being so many different characters that can be qualified as important in the progression of the story.I would recommend it for the story line and the graphics but I do feel like there are a certain amount of plot holes or at least not detailed out enough parts. I give the series 3 stars, the beginning possibly deserving 4 stars and slowly falling to 3 stars.

Right. Do you ever read something or watch something where the lead characters fight the scary bad guys and barely win, and then later when the scary bad guys fight an opponent that's tougher and scarier than they are and the former scary bad guys are having some trouble? Makes you kinda wonder how the lead characters managed to win the first time. If the former scary bad guys pull new tricks out of their sleeves, I can't help but wonder why they were pulling punches the last time.
