About book Bleach, Vol. 28: Baron's Lecture Full-Course (2009)
In all honesty, I think this manga could be improved by taking the core group and cutting down the other characters and never see them again. There are just so many and this manga ends up offering up even more.Easy to sum this one up. Aizen and his men are plotting. They think they have Orihime under their thumb. Orihime gains better understanding of her powers and thinks she can foil Aizen. Ichigo, Uryu & Chad are in Hueco Mundo to save Orihime. Renji & Rukia show up to save Ichigo et al who have run across some bizarre hollows including the one of a child, Nell, who becomes attacked to Ichigo. It ends up with Ichigo fighting a disgraced Arrancar who wants to kill him to regain Aizen’s graces. It’s your standard Bleach stuff. It’s not horrible but I wouldn’t buy it either. Glad the library has it This is the first volume to not get a five star rating from me. Chad, Ichigo and Uryû are making their way across a desert waste land and come across a group of Hollow misfits (it reminded me of the Island of misfit Toys from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer)...we meet Nel Tu, Pesche, Dondochakka, and Bawabawa. They come across a sand Hollow/guardian and as they are battling it, Rukia and Renji show up- thy have come to help save Orihime (Byakuya knew they were going to do this and turned a blind eye...he's becoming quite rebellious in his stiff sort of way- by the end of the series, I bet he's going to be a bit of a troublemaker! Haha)Aizen believes he has brainwashed Orihime and is planning to turn her into a weapon. However, Orihime is still trying to plot his demise. I really hope she is able to be more badass. Aizen keeps mentioning how her powers define nature and he is fascinated with them, but they seem so weak at times. Our strange company arrives at a crossroads and they split up. At the end of the volume, Ichigo runs into an Arrancar named Doridoni. I can't even take this guy seriously really and he looks like Zorro. I think I'm supposed to take him a little more seriously, but I can't. Oh, and Nel followed Ichigo so she is watching him fight. I almost forgot that part because I'm hoping she gives him some pointers. The only Arrancars that I've taken seriously at this point are: Ulquiorra and Grimmjow. All the rest have sucked. Eh...I hope that this picks up again because this series is amazing.

As we are given opportunities to see that Chad and Ishida are now on Ichigo's level, it's only a matter of time before Ichigo becomes "Even MORE Powerful," but I guess I should stop whining about that standard cliche. Instead I'll complain about the return of two characters who, while in all honesty I'm glad to have them back, basically bring our party size back to the original number for invading the Soul Society, and a new Ganju character too, just for keeping the comedy. Maybe it'll turn out better in the long runWe do get a look at the world of the villains' lair, though I'm not sure Kubo's art is really up to the task. It feels more like a model than a huge fortress.

Still love Bleach! In this volume Ichigo, Chad and Uryu are tryng to rescue Orihimi from Aizen. Aizen sees them coming but his fortess is far away and they have to travel through a lot to get to them. On the way to the fortress they have to get passed some disgraced Arrancars. They also meet up with some new characters Nel and his brothers. How will the battles between these Arrancars turn out. You will have to read to find out. :)
