I've re-read and amended my rating:If you're looking for complex plot and a challenging read, this is not for you. It's tricky to review a book like this as it's a simple feel good love story. I can't compare it to other books I read where there's detailed plot and character development as I read those books expecting different things. When I started reading this book, and others by this author, I was expecting a bit of heartache, characters refusing to admit they're in love, other people causing problems and misunderstandings, and eventually, a happy ending. All these elements are in this book and provided a pleasant few hours reading leaving me smiling at the end. This basic formula means that the structure is widely the same in the whole series but as I was expecting this and wanting a light read, I didn't mind. Perfect for the mood I was in when reading.Original review:It's a fun idea where the father is desperate to have a big happy family and to see his sons settle down so he goes about matchmaking behind his sons' backs. He brings women he chooses into situations where his sons will meet them. However, in this book the father has tried time and time again and his son has guessed what he's up to.It's a bit too much of a co-incidence how the couple meet but she's a good character, a bolshy woman who knows what she wants and it's not love, she wants a successful career. (of course she gets love in the end too)I find the writing a bit corny at times and found myself cringing, and use of words such as womanhood and heat had me groaning but not for desired reasons. Really? womanhood? Cassandra, or Cassie, is trying to break into the journalism scene and is seeking out an interview with Max Anderson. Max Anderson doesn't do interviews and has dodged every inquiry Cassie has made. Until one fateful day...Cassie wakes up in the hospital only to find out she has been hit by a car. Not any car, but Max Anderson's car. He tries to pay her off but instead she demands an interview. Max reluctantly agrees mainly because he wants to find out why he can't stop thinking about her. In this fifth book of the Anderson clan series the H/h aren't plotted to be together by the heads of the families Joseph and George, but by fate. It's a refreshing change to see one of the Anderson's find their own spouse. I cannot say much more than I have already about Melody Anne and the Anderson's. They are fun, light-hearted, steamy stories that whisk you away to an alternative universe where rich alpha male billionaires are looking for love.

Max was a real stubborn Anderson but love won out in the end. Way to go Cassie.

Book was a letdown. Boring and too predictable. I hope the next book is better.
