I've read a few of Melody's books before and loved them, but this didn't quite do it for me. It was good but didn't have anything spell-binding. I was waiting for something massive to happen, but it didn't. I didn't like the way he never asked about her being a virgin, that was very inconsiderate. And while some people say Nicole was too whiny, I kind of get it. For the majority of the book her treated her like a whore. And only when he found why she left did he soften. I liked him, I guess the book just needed a little more...planning. The author left a few things unanswered, but I'm happy they got their HEA. It's tricky to review a book like this as it's a simple feel good love story. I can't compare it to other books I read where there's detailed plot and character development as I read those books expecting different things. When I started reading this book, and others by this author, I was expecting a bit of heartache, characters refusing to admit they're in love, other people causing problems and misunderstandings, and eventually, a happy ending. All these elements are in this book and provided a pleasant few hours reading leaving me smiling at the end. This basic formula means that the structure is widely the same in the whole series but as I was expecting this and wanting a light read, I didn't mind. Perfect for the mood I was in when reading.
Do You like book The Tycoon's Proposal (2011)?
Oh how I wish it had a better ending. The epilogue was to short. I still loved the story though.
