About book Black Knights Inc. - Um Jeden Preis (2014)
Frank "Boss" Knight thought that he could just buy her Chopper shop for cover and keep her around without involving her in his life. Yup- you know where it goes from here. To hell in a handbasket.Another red-hot it's-okay-to-date-your-boss page turner. Especially if your boss is an ex-navy seal who still knows how to operate. When do Special Ops men ignore their gut? When a woman is involved. Add a woman called "Rebel" and you have a Charlie Foxtrot starting on page one. Boss decided to ignore his instincts and keep Rebel at arms length. Very bad idea. Luckily Becky "Rebel" Reichert knows what she wants and is willing to risk going all in. This series just keeps missing the mark. Barely missing the mark, but still missing it. I really can’t put my finger on what exactly is missing to make this a great series. But, trust me, it’s not there. Becky and Frank’s chemistry just isn’t as strong as it was in the first book. That’s so sad because they were my favorite couple and I couldn’t wait to read their story. I just lost my patience with Frank’s running hot and cold and his big bad super secret. Let’s be honest. That big bad super secret wasn’t so big or bad or super. The wrap up of that big bad super secret was a severely superficial resolution. Compared to the first book, the secondary characters were largely scaled back. Yes, there are some new characters and plots introduced for the next books, but not on the same scale as the first book. The new characters raise enough questions to want to keep reading the series. I just hope they get better.

thank god. finally a woman who can take care of herself, even when the man is a macho caveman.

I'm a sucker for a good "age difference" trope!
