About book Bis Ans Ende Der Welt Und Zurück (2000)
“Please, Tom. You can’t ride your bicycle across the country alone. It’s insane. You’ll end up being slaughtered by a serial killer.” “Taryn, I’m thirty-five, single, tattooed, and antisocial. I’m the serial killer.” “Okay, point taken. But you could get hit by a car and bleed to death by the side of the road.” “How would riding with another person prevent that?” “It wouldn’t, but he could call me on his cell phone so you could tell me you love me with your dying breath.”You can call me Lexie if you like that better. A lot of my friends do.” “Well, I’m not your friend.” “Not yet, but you’re getting off to a smashing start.” She planted her hands on her hips, staring at him. If she’d been able to breathe fire, he’d be toast by now, but considering her size and general adorableness, it was like being stared down by Tinker Bell.Tom and Lexie - what a pair. I enjoyed this book, but couldn't give it a 5 because of the abrupt ending. Great author, but unfortunately for me, I read (AFTER this book) that she hates epilogues. I love them so I don't know id I will read more from her. First off, let me say that this book was really well researched. I love when I can read a great novel and also learn something. In this case, I learned quite a bit about biking cross country. Not that I'll ever DO it, of course.Ride With Me is full of the push-pull of a couple that does, and doesn't, want to be together. Through the difficulties of the road, the weather, and their personalities, our hero and heroine are dragged together bit by bit. I loved that. There were a few surprises in the book as well - the scene where Lexie is caught just after "easing her stress" was one, and there were several others. This book is sweet and has plenty of heat for those who want it. The tension between the two is delicious. You should read it.

Ending too hurried. Could use an epilogue. Otherwise a 5-star read.
