About book Beauty From Love (The Beauty Series) (2014)
Storyline: 4/5; So the main conflict throughout this book about Laurelyn and Jack is the fact that numerous past companions of Jack's keep popping up, putting a damper in their post-marital bliss. I found it a little absurd that all of these women magically found their way to him as soon as he is married but I guess it could have happened. I got a little fed up with the story around 3/4 of the way through but I stuck with it because I wanted everything to work out for one of my favorite book couples. There were times when I got pretty weepy because of the different things that happened but overall the last installment of this series was a good one.Female Lead: 5/5; I still loved Laurelyn. Given all the crap that she had to go through in this story she stood her grould like a freaking champ. And to add to all the hell that Jack's past women are giving Laurelyn, her mother is a complete shit head and she is hormonal but she is still amazing. Male Lead: 5/5; Jack kind of irritated me this book. The only problem is that I was irritated at his past and that's not really something that can be used against him at this point. He really is a changed person from when we first met him so it's pretty obvious that he hates all the crap that is going on just as much as we did. I love how no matter how mad Laurelyn is at him he's constantly her rock, even when he's getting reamed out for basically doing nothing. I was also impressed when he fired the assistant girl, because even I would have taken pause before I did that, considering she really did seem embarrassed at her mistake.Relationship: 5/5; There is much more angst and fighting in this book but through it all Jack and Laurelyn are still a strong, solid couple. They take time apart, they yell, they have misunderstandings but at the end of the day their love and trust for each other win out over everything else and they are there for each other. And they are still steamy as hell together.Supporting characters: 4/5; Once again, props to Jack's mom. She's still the coolest mom ever. Addie still annoyed me but she got a little better in the end. Everyone else was either really minimal or I hated them, like the previous women.Ending: 5/5; HEA. Gives you a view a couple years into the future, showing that Jack is still the doting, loving husband that he was when we last saw him. And Laurelyn tells Jack some good news when they have a get away just the two of them. Most likely will reread this series again because it was so cute and sweet and gave me all kinds of feels. The reappearance of too many past companions of the hero made me think of him as an ass. I salute the heroine for she had moved passed it and was able to stand beside the hero within the situations involving those girls. As I see it, the relationship was a fragile one due to the hero's past constantly hovering over them. I just wanted to slap those bitches and be happy. Is not ok that this is the ending cause I enjoyed reading this book and probably going to reread it to reminisce. Good job Georgia Cates :)
