About book Beauty And The Beast (2013)

I love when authors take a fairy tale and twist it into a new story. I was happy to find this book....and eagerly dove into the book. I do not know a lot about Beauty and the Beast, so I figured there was a lot that could be done. This story takes the story of Beauty and the Beast...and doesn't really change it....well, there are changes, but nothing obvious. The story was fun and interesting...not the vest writing, but the details and love story was sweet...and I loved the simple twist at the end. Beauty falls through the ceiling and ends up stuck at Beast's mansion while her leg heals. She befriends the help...and the Beast and of course, slowly falls in love. Read if you need something light and sweet... *THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS*A decent retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Maybe not the best one out there, mind you, but a pretty good one.+ Severin's backstory and family relations were very original (e.g. he has a brother! and he actually has a good relationship with him!).+ Elle and Severin were both well-written, sympathetic characters and their interactions were priceless. In other words, they had chemistry.+ Character of Emele - a servant girl Elle befriends in Severin's castle (hurray for more female characters!). + Elle actually knows the conditions of the curse and works with this knowledge.+ Severin has a head of a big cat. I love cats. Elle does too.- Emele really dissapointed me after the curse was broke. Seriously, girl? How could you turn your back on your BFF? Felt kinda ooc as well like...the stable boy believed in Elle more than a close friend who spent months with her.- Elle's secret identity was predictible, but I didn't mind that very much. - I wish the issues of the kingdom's politics and relations with other countries were explored better.

Do You like book Beauty And The Beast (2013)?

Honestly, this was pretty good, but it just didn't grip me. I was struggling a bit towards to end.

Cute story. I loved Elle's attitude and her talkative personality. The cat jokes are hilarious.

This is a great re telling of a classic. I agree that there needs to be a better editing done.
