This is a quick read that seemed more like a chick lit than anything else. I really liked the story and would like to read more of her books. I did think the ending was a bit rushed though. The story seemed to have a steady pace, and then bam it has to end.Clay Walker is dreamy and has a southern drawl that will melt a girls heart. He likes older women and while he claims he will never fall in love, he does have a soft heart. Lacey is a great mom that is really trying to follow her dreams. She has a few hang ups, but as Clay tells her, they are just bumps in the road. She is raising her daughter the best way she knows how, when a hurricane takes everything she owns. She decides that since she lost everything, she wants to follow her dreams of owning a B&B. Luckily Clay is there to help. Roxanne St. Claire takes on a journey of a woman and her daughter picking up the pieces and rebuilding her life after a hurricane tore it apart. In walks sexy hunk Clay Walker architect to design her resort and redesign her life. Along the way, Lacey and her friends, Zoe, Jocelyn, and Tessa pull together showing what love, family and friendship is all about. This series is one of the best ones I've read in a long time.
