LEEANN'S REVIEW - 5 StarsIf you have read the Needing More series, you will know who Zac Moore is.. If you haven’t then don’t worry, this book can be read as a standalone & will still make perfect sense!!Zac Moore is one of the most complex young male characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. He comes across as your typical bad boy. He is a college student & seems to be out for nothing more than a good time with any girls that are willing. That is the image he hides behind anyway. As the story progresses you get to see what Zac went through as a child. His warped introduction to sex is enough to make any good mothers blood boil.. well except his own mothers that is.The only person other than his father that knows his secret is his best friend Liz. Liz or Lizard as Zac likes to call her has his back.. And he has hers because she has her own secrets. Then Zac meets Lilliana.. Although he has had lots of sex he has never experienced love. Lilliana rocks his world literally. At first she is wary of him, but eventually she sees there is more to him then he shows the world. They both decide to explore the possibility of a relationship. Then a life or death situation occurs and choices have to be made.Zac will give his own life to save Lilliana and things between them come to an abrupt end. They run into each other a little while later but it takes a while for them to get back on track.. There are still many hurdles for them to overcome to be together & Lilliana has a few moments where she questions if it is all worth it.They need to find a way to get past the hurdles in front of them & reach their long term individual goals & still come out together & stronger at the end.Lilliana complements Zac so well & the way the bounce off each other is almost magical. This is a beautiful story that really shows that family is everything & you don’t need to be blood related to be family. Sometimes the family that is not connected by blood will protect you in ways that you blood relations would never dream of if it meant they were caught out being in the wrong. This is a story about a young boys innocence being taken from him by someone he should have trusted & the 1 person in the world that was meant to protect him failed miserably & still fails to see that is the case. This young boys fights every day to overcome his past & the support he has from his dad & step mum is astounding. Although they are not blood related Zac’s step mum Mia will go to the ends of the earth for him & has proven time & time again how much she loves him. At one point in this book he needs someone to stand up for him & Mia rises to the challenge beautifully. There are moments in this story that will make you laugh, they will make you emotional, but you will want to read the whole book to see if Zac & Mia make it out on the other side still as in love as they were when their story really began.Julie Richman has done another beautiful job bringing her characters to life. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us with her future projects!! I want to start by saying that I have not read any of the other books in this series, but I wish I had. I feel I would have enjoyed the story more if I was more vested in Zac. I seemed to be lacking that connection to the main character that I need to really enjoy a book. The book was well written and I enjoyed the story, but without that emotional connection, something was just missing for me.In the beginning, Zac's bad boy persona was trying to be developed. That just fell flat for me. He seemed to nice to be a bad a$$. However, after reading about the other books in the series afterwards, I feel like I would have enjoyed this part better if I had known his back story. Once Zac went to be with Lily in the Conga, the story picked up and I really got into it. So many things happened that I had trouble putting the book down for long.
