This edition started a little differently than I'm used to. It wasn't fear and adrenaline right away, we start out seeing Kitty doing seemingly normal things with seemingly normal people. Of course that quickly changes to "who is out to get us" and "how many plots are there?" I love that they keep bringing in friends of Kitty's from her past. Now we have a sorority sister in the mix...will she end up with an A-C??? Also was pleased to see Len and Kyle back and the lengths Kyle went to in order to prove himself to Kitty. And Pierre coming to help was a pleasant surprise as well. Of course in the end Kitty and her friends must save the day and the world. It was fast paced, had my heart racing and in the end the entire plot tends to blow your mind. Including who all the "bad guys" end up being. Still loving this series, still highly recommend it! I was disappointed with this book, it is nothing like the rest of her books. For starters the author uses the word dude way to much. I'm not opposed to using it, but every other paragraph for pages on end??? Way to much. Then there is the fact that the bread and butter of this series is that not only does it not take itself seriously but it goes out of its way to have insane situations. It is so over the top that it makes it funny, anyone remember the crocodile through NASA? In this book though it doesn't take itself seriously but it doesn't even attempt the insane situations. Nothing that happens in this book is at all over the top, and this changes absolutely everything in the book. Instead of being funny, now its just stupid and pathetic. None of the characters are what they were in the other books and the situations are horrible. Not to mention the small fact that the main characters have a kid now, but the child in the books is nothing more than an afterthought. The last twenty pages do not help at all. You've spent four books trying to tell us that this is possibly the smartest woman on Earth? I saw the last assassin coming since they were introduced. The woman in this book would not have survived the last four books. She wouldn't have survived the first scene. Hopefully the author goes back to what worked in the other books in the next one otherwise this series is sunk.
Do You like book Alien Diplomacy (2012)?
Will human/American Centurian relationships ever be the same? It's fun finding out.
