About book Adventurers Wanted, Volume 3: Albrek's Tomb (2012)

Albrek’s Tomb by M. L. Forman is the third book in the Adventurers Wanted series. In Albrek’s Tomb, Alex is travelling with his friends Arconn and Thrang again. They are trying to recover the Ring of Searching from the tomb of the dwarf Albrek, so that they can stop a war in Thrang’s home. On the way, Alex meets an ancient dragon, who teaches him a lot about who he really is. I think that kids in middle school or high school would like this book because it is full of action, fantasy, and adventure, which are all genres that I know I love. My favorite part of the book was whenever Alex talks to the dragon, and the dragon teaches Alex about his history and his potentials. I would rate this book 5 stars because it really kept me wanting to read more, and find out what happened next.Austin S., age 14, Baton Rouge Mensa Once again Forman does a marvelous job. He does not give you an irrational, snobby, self-absorbed character and then at the end of the book leave you with still an irrational, snobby, self-absorbed character, rather starts with a more "normal" character, one with flaws but also with reason and goodwill. Forman introduces new elements of the character slowly throughout all the books and new things are always popping up, but not all concentrated on the main character Alex. The plot runs smoothly with slowly additional details as the book continues rather than give all these issues then base the story on those details, which, in my opinion is a nice change. However, at times parts are missing and you wonder how you end up from point A to point B. His description is vague for pretty much the entire book but that allows room to visualize how the surroundings are varying from person to person. At times though the description for certain things or parts that could have been elaborated on are either nonexistent or too minimal for that particular paragraph or so. In the overall reflection though Forman's work in this series is easy to read, exciting, and always leave you with a thirst to go on an adventure of your own.
