One of the other members of the task force to find the bomber is a San Francisco detective, Joslyn Adah, who is also McCone's friend, but she seems to be cracking under unknown pressures. Hy is very sick with a tropical disease, and Mick, her nephew, is pushing McCone into computers, cell phones and BBS boards.
