This is really short and should be just considered an epilogue for The Pleasure of Winter. It starts off with a misunderstanding that was totally justified. While what comes of the misunderstanding is mostly hot, I was really irritated with the way Jack acted. He basically turned it all around on Abbie like it was her fault he was doing what he was doing and had never told Abbie about any of it. It was all super suspect and I think any sane person would have walked in, seen what Jack was doing with Paloma and assumed the same thing. Once he was done trying to blame Abbie, he then tried to make up for it with sex. Hot, naughty sex, but still sex. I just really hoped for more and was pretty disappointed with it. I'm glad I didn't buy this and was able to borrow it through Amazon Prime. Can't help it, Jack and Abbie are burned into my brain as the fearless duo, I love their relationship so this just had to get the fully monty from me.I can't help it I love Abbie's character, the unsubmissive sub gives it a nice edge, I love it that she's got bite. I would have reacted exactly the same as her if it were me walking in on Jack and who he was with. Well I might have gone a bit further and bodily harm might have been involved but you get my drift, the situation was written 'real'.Totally waiting impatiently for the next book of 'Winter' to come out but this was a nice little fix in the meantime.
