About book A Sensible Arrangement (2014)

Ever since I started reading ‘adult’ novels, I have loved Tracie Peterson’s books. They are some of my favorites and I have never been disappointed by any of them. They are always well written and the storylines are amazing. With that being said, I loved this book from the first page to the last. After losing her husband in a ranching accident, Marty believes that she’ll never find love again or get remarried for that matter. But that all changes when she replies to mail-order bride request and travels down to Denver.Set during the economy collapse in 1883, everyone is suffering. The story held me captivated and I finished it within one afternoon. I couldn’t put it down, even though I had other things that needed to be finished.Tracie Peterson’s books are the perfect books to read if you are looking to a good clean historical novel, with a Christian base. I have never been disappointed by any of her books and I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know.“Book has been provided courtesy of Baker Publishing Group and Graf-Martin Communications, Inc. Available at your favourite bookseller from Bethany House, a division of Baker Publishing Group”. A bit predictable but a good read and a clean love story. Summary: Jake and Marty were both previously married. Jake needs a wife, Marty wants a change, so she moves to Denver and they get married. Jake works at a bank and there are ongoing financial struggles, but he is surrounded by wealthy society and they pressure him to maintain an appearance of wealth. Both Marty and Jake care little about society's social demands and try to live good, wholesome lives. Both had a falling out with their faith but they grow closer to each other and closer to faith over time.

I hope there is more of the story in the second book in the series! It ended abruptly.
