I first met Joey and Papa in their children’s stories and I fell in love with them. I definitely enjoyed going back in time and learning how Joey and Papa met.Joey is the kind of strong character that I love, she’s capable and very much able to take care of herself. She isn’t looking for a man in her life but Stewart “Papa” Santini blindsides her and the rest is history. They have a beautiful love story that holds true through the test of time.Papa knows Joey is skittish so he approaches her slowly but steadily and their love blooms. Especially since Papa knows she’s the one from the moment he meets her.With the added bonus of the update on what the Santini brothers are doing this book was a real gem and a great holiday story that left me with that warm fuzzy feeling.I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. If you feel in love with the Santini's like I did, you will love the story of Joey and Steward Santini. I thought Joey would have been a strong, independent woman. She was more than that, strong in ways that I wouldn't have pictured for her. Doing what she had to in order to archive her goal and doing by herself. Whitty and smart, Joey is the type of girl I would want as a friend. Steward "Papa" Santini was talk drink of water that women wish for. He make is presence known, with out pushing beyond flirting. Well maybe a bit. Lol! He could look into her eyes and she the depth within her. Papa knew at once that Joey was his. The Santini curse we all know about from the boys. There really is love at first sight. I just loved this story. Joey is beyond the woman I thought she would be. I did not picture her as a short lady with all those tall sons. Papa was awesome too. Handsome, loyal and honest. I could see where the boys got a lot of their traits from. A great, heart felt short of family and love! It made me shed a few happy tears.
