A delightful read that keeps you guessing. Will she get her guy in the end? Does her heart really know what's best for her? The author throws in many unexpected additions to the story and you never know where it is going. The characters grow and change in facing obstacles in their way through life. Faith in God is what gets them on to the next phase. If you have not read the previous books in this series, it would be important to do so to fully understand this book but not necessary. I enjoyed the series! I had wanted to read this series for a while and the first two books were always checked out. So, I started with #3. That worked all right, but I would've liked to have known how the other two O'Connor sisters ended up with their men before reading about Beth. Even so, I liked this book enough to go back and read the other two, and also the three that follow in the second series. Julie Lessmam was the first Christian author I've ever read who talked about breasts so much (from a male POV)and it took a while to get used to that. I was like, "is this okay?" But, I'm used to it now. Julie has pushed the envelope and widened the parameters of what is acceptable in Christian romance. She doesn't cross the line, and it's okay to admit that humans have desire. God made us that way. She also uses the word "bile" a lot :)I don't have bile rising up my throat half as often as the characters in these books do, but hey. To each his own.
