About book A Lion Called Christian: The True Story Of The Remarkable Bond Between Two Friends And A Lion (2009)
It seems incredible that a couple of guys from Australia would wander through a London department store and end up with a lion cub, but that is what happened. How they came to care and love Christian, teaching him to behave and to love them back makes for a fascinating story. Wanting more for their beloved lion than pacing behind bars in a zoo, they manage to connect Christian with the “father of lions,” George Adamson in Kenya. It was the best of all worlds for the wonderful lion. An entertaining tale with a happy ending. Being honest, this makes me want to find the other book about Christian the lion. It's cute and might just instill a child to go to their library and research this charming lion. Awhile ago, I heard about this lion reuniting with his previous owners in Africa. Sweet, but that blipped off my radar quickly. My mom, some months ago brought this book home for my nephew. I wanted to read it- my inner child was doing laps, a new book!So I finally sat down and read it. Loved the scrapbook layout, the brief blurbs of text, the actually photos of Ace, John, and Christian. Very interesting and very sweet. A good read.

Cute, though i would have liked more focus on the lion than the human lion interaction.
