About book A Fortunate Blizzard (2015)

I have a secret, or not if you know me. I am a sucker for Christmas and holiday stories. I have always loved the magic of the season. The chance of hope, of new beginnings and of a romance as pure as snow that warms your heart. Warms your heart and sets your knickers on fire is also a plus. And this, well it does both… though I read it during a triple digit heat wave smack in the middle of the Mojave Desert. This still gave me the cool and cozy feeling of a holiday read. When I read the blurb I knew I would be in for an emotional book and trust me, this is emotional. How can it now be when you have a man who is on dialysis and counting down the possibility of his last living days? A man who wants nothing but to live and have a full life who gets stuck in a snow storm trying to get home. Stuck in a snow storm in a crowded hotel lobby and finds a handsome stranger to talk to. Stuck. In a hotel. With a handsome stranger. In a snow storm. Queue the fire and turn up the heat because, baby it’s cold outside and these boys are hot. Phew. I am a goofy smiling mess just thinking of this story one minute, and the next I have chills and am brought to tears. This was a roller coaster of emotions and so very worth it. This is my first read from this author and I can tell you she nailed this holiday story, she nailed it hard and made sure to provide the necessary cuddles after to make it perfect. Ugh. I am trying to find the words to describe how this made me feel… it made me, hopeful. Knowing Trevor’s medical condition from the get go, you can’t help but want everything for the man. He is a good man, he has a wonderful family and this dark card he has been dealt is one you want to rip up and never put back in the deck. But fate, she is a funny gal and has ways to turn dark to light and hopeless to hopeful and all of that hope comes in the stunning package of Marcus. Oh boy. Marcus, you work-a-holic who wants to please everyone first and yourself last. You have the heart of a great warrior, willing to go above and beyond for those you love and I am so happy that I have met you. I adore what you have done, what you did and what you will do to make sure… just to make sure. Ugh. I just love you, sir. That is all. So this does have insta-love but as I always say, insta-love done well is done right and this was amazing. The men, they just fit and without spoiling the entire story - which I just want to type and vomit all my feelings about every single highlight I have with this book and trust me, there are a lot – their differences are so on par that there is nowhere for them to go but straight to holiday romance central and live happily ever after. But remember that blurb? That little deal of Trevor heading down the dark tunnel of possible death and not toward the tunnel of love? Ugh. Again, there are the feels that are stabbing me in the heart and there is one highlight I have to share because it kills me each time I read it… “What were you drawing? If you don’t mind my asking?” “Time.” Can someone pass a girl a tissue or a Costco sized case of them? *sniffs* Anyway, this was brilliantly romantic and so uplifting even through the dark. I loved how Marcus found his true self with the help of Trevor and how Trevor fought to open himself up to the possibility of love over death. Like I said, I love holiday romances and this one, is going on my favorite’s shelf and will be read much more than once.

A Fortunate Blizzard is set at Christmas time, so it's PERFECT for the holidays. I read it in August, so clearly I'm going to have to reread in December. And that's not a chore, believe me. I freaking loved everything about this book. It's like it was written for me. Romance? Oh, YES. There are so many sweet kisses, soft caresses, passionate glances. The chemistry between Trevor and Marc is palpable. Love at first sight? INDEED. If you are allergic to insta love, move on. This is insta love at its finest. Marc and Trevor make eye contact across a crowded hotel lounge area and there is a ZING. They have an immediate connection that transcends the physical.Hot sex? OH GOD, YEAH. Explosive chemistry, sensual moments, shower kisses, long, slow love making, frottage, and MORE. Holy hell, I couldn't get enough! So dirty, so beautiful. Angst with hurt/comfort theme? Yes. Trevor is dying, you see. He's in the last stages of renal failure, and dialysis isn't cutting it anymore. All Trevor wants is TIME, a future. He has a wonderful, supportive family, but he knows his time is limited if a donor who matches his rare blood type doesn't come through. When Trevor is stranded during a blizzard just as he's about to fly home for Christmas, he decides to take a gamble on the gorgeous man with the green eyes. Trevor just wants a night with Marc, one night to feel like a normal man. Trevor has all the hurt, but he doesn't hoard it. He's an artist, and he observes. He sees Marc's loneliness, his desperation. Marc lets time sift through his fingers; he's so focused on making partner in his law firm, he loses hours, days, months. Estranged from his cold, intolerant mother, Marc comes in early and stays late, and never gives time a second thought. This is a story about epiphanies, about meeting The One just as time is running out. It's a story about trust. And hope. I loved the alternating POVs. Marc and Trevor are both such endearing, real characters. I cried. But I smiled MORE. In the end, the pain is worth it, because this book made me FEEL. Even though there are tears, this is ultimately a FEEL-GOOD book. There is an epilogue, you see, and it's EVERYTHING. Are the medical details of Trevor's dialysis realistic? Not entirely. But I can't bring myself to care. There are second chances and happy endings and Christmas trees. There's LOVE. And TIME. Marc's lips felt like fire and home and everything he's ever dreamed of, and he gave in ... for this moment, he could pretend he was healthy, that there could be more, that his mom would get to wear her mother-of-the-groom high heels after all.

Do You like book A Fortunate Blizzard (2015)?

5 'Trevormartic' Stars This book was not what I expected at all. I first "discovered" this book by reading my friend's review, Ariana( Hey babe.) I read her review and feel in love with the book and the review. After reading her review, I knew that I'm gonna love this book.Broken hero/heroine- CheckSick hero/heroine- CheckShort story- CheckLust at first sight- CheckPassion than love- CheckI could go on and on but the list is too long and I have other BBF to whore around with. But what I did not expect from this book is me crying. I'm very emotional person. I cry to anything( anything but real life) I'm like an ice queen in real life(or an frigid bitch according to some) but when it comes to books or TV I'm a fucking waterfall. I thought this was gonna be a light, fantastic read, but instead it was really...feely. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't being naive about it, I mean the blurb says it all but that, that was different. I really, really liked this book. And I love when a story is matched with the season/holiday in real life. Very comforting. Overall,

An excellent story by L.C. Chase, my favorite story by her to date! If you are looking for a hopeful, sweet, uber-romantic holiday story, you've come to the right place. Trevor has just received news that his dialysis treatments aren't working well anymore, and that his prognosis is very grim. Marc is a workaholic with no friends and no social life. Both men are not in the correct mindset for a serious relationship, but that's okay because, as we all know, holiday snowstorms breed love and magic. Trevor and Marc get stranded at the same motel in the middle of a blizzard. Their chemistry is fierce. It is instalove, or as close to instalove as you can get. However, it was so sweet, so necessary that I found myself not caring one bit.A Fortunate Blizzard is the kind of holiday story that reminds me why I love holiday stories. It is about overcoming all odds, finding love and hope where you least expect it, and snuggling down with someone you care about. L.C. Chase managed to create something that will appeal to all holiday readers, and I think she did a great job with this one. **Copy provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review**

Well shit, this book had me in tears!!!I freaking loved this.. You could feel the connection between Marc and Trevor. Their instant attraction to each other was thrilling. ♡♡♡How fortunate is it to think you’ve maybe found the love of your life but there’s no time left???But just as this book is all about hope, I had hope all things would work out just fine, and it did…. “How about, what if this works? How about the man I met in a snowstorm who told me to make time for the important things? Who told me to live and follow my dreams? What is your dream, Trevor? What will make you live?” *Fabulous Christmas read*
