I was struck by how little I knew of the topic, and how it feels from that point of view. The characters varied from supportive to judgmental, and there was plenty to be learned by all. The author explored the topic with compassion and understanding, and despite the heartache Katie faced, God is ultimately the "peace that passeth all understanding." I listened to this on audio book. It may have been the little girl voice of the narrator, but I found Katie so childish-even her mother told her she wasn't acting her age ( 20 is old enough not to pout and whine. Panic attacks are real and horrible. I had great sympathy for that problem, but she just whined about everything. Thought it was like reading a teeny bopper romance story and so silly in the way Eunice and Katie acted. Cameron and Lewis are so much better.
