This is one of the most thoughtful books I have ever read, at the top with some of Coelho's works. Books like these are why we read; it is one that I will visit year after year and that which has shaped a lot of my own current life views. I enjoyed the observations of Renee and Paloma. Great book club selection. Just not my type of story. I wasn't able to connect to either of the main characters.
