This book was a very enjoyable book to read. Although, only half the book depicts the terror of a horrifying zombie invasion, the other half of the book allows you to peer into B's life and realize the struggle she is going through. I liked the complicated relationship between B and her dad, and how she feels about racism. The ending is stunning and unbelievable, I never would have guessed. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read disgusting, stomach churning details about zombies digging into brains. Also I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about the life of a high schooler, because half the book is gore-free. This story is surely fast paced and suspenseful. It is told from the viewpoint of a high school student in London England.I liked the point of view. I also enjoyed the growth of the main character, B, as she decides she is not going to be a racist like her father, even though she has kept silent for many years, out of self-preservation.This is the first of a series and look forward to reading the next one.
