When I first started reading this book I wasn't sure if I would finish it. But after a few chapters I decided it was better than I first thought.Zoey is a halfling (human/succubus.) She belongs to a group of hunters who find and kill Cambions who feed on humans using sex magic. Incubatti and Succubatti are enemies. Declan who turns out to be Zoeys soulmate is head of the Enforcers. Declan starts a rite of claiming his soul mate..which requires being with Zoey 3 times with their sex magic. After completing this rite she him with another in his bed. Feeling betrayed she leaves, not knowing the real reason she thinks she been betrayed. Big Cliffhanger at the end. i dont know if i expected anything but honestly, this book is lame. the whole concept of "sex energy" (which, i admit, took me a moment to believe it's serious the first time i read the words) feels so forced to make the story sexual. it's not sexy, nothing is believable (and i have an open mind for fiction), i didnt find any reason to like any of the characters. i would've maybe said that the story is somehow ok for young teens without the sex (which is actually, redundant..)no idea how his book got such a high score.
For a .99 kindle book, this was awesome!
