About book Zeka Yönetimi: En İyi Liderler Çevrelerine Zeka Saçanlardır (2000)

Why I rated this amazing: the format and the content. The format is such that groups could easily study and implement the concepts. Although I could in a more critical mood say that the charts and examples are redundant, I actually feel that the way the facets of leadership are presented, backed up with examples, and then summarized in as key concepts in a chart form is precisely what people would need to really use this text to make real changes. The content is spot-on, would help people who are natural multipliers to sharpen and talk about their skills more comfortably, and would help leaders who are accidental (or not) diminishers to take realistic, clear, small steps toward more effective leadership that empowers and holds high expectations for others. Although this is slanted toward business, the concepts and examples are applicable to all forms of leadership, classroom teachers included. Great book. A good, but not great book about leadership as it relates to getting the most out of those around you. Many of the notions were pretty common sensical and I found it to be a pretty redundant read at times, but there are some great nuggets about the importance of seeking to find the genius in others, learning to employ a more listening and questioning communication style, and bring debate into the workplace to maximize ideas and energy. I wouldn't disagree with anything Liz wrote, I just didn't find anything trailblazing enough to call it more than average.
