3.5 stars. It is what it is...a zombie apocalypse meets Hunger Games (Darwin games) in this case. It was an enjoyable read, easy flow, I wanted to find out what happened next kind of book. I will keep going with the series because it is an interesting concept and I want to see how it pans out. I was in the mood for dystopian/fantasy world and this book delivered there. Nothing that will change your life, but it has been a conversation starter! This was a ok, but be prepared to really give the author the benefit of the doubt. The government and city watch is unrealistically powerful, they have technology and resources that could easily destroy the zombie threat, but don't, the citizenship lives in near complete poverty yet supports a government that seems to have limitless resources despite this being impossible.Hard to say if I will read the next one.
Do You like book Z 2134: Episode 1 (2012)?
It's super apparent that the authors were heavily influenced by The Walking Dead and Hunger Games.
