I'm not sure how I heard about this book. It is from 1981 and set in Pittsburgh, both of which I didn't know when I started it. It is quite dated...in the first chapter, a woman wakes up on the Schenley Park golf course not knowing how she got there, and puts a dime in the pay phone to call a cab. I enjoyed the Pittsburgh references. The plot, which details her search for answers to her "lost weekend" moves rather slowly. She, her downstairs neighbor, and a psychiatrist work together to solve the mystery. I almost gave up on this book many times, however the last few chapters made it worth finishing, as they were actually quite original.
