I wanted this book to do so much more for me, but the distracting inconsistencies kept me from really investing myself in the plot. LeeLee as a narrator is cute and I found her friends such a fun bunch but the entire Riley character throughout the book bothered me. yes he played a pivotal role in talking about her trip, but the big twist involving him that I kept waiting for just never happened. I'll read the third book out of curiosity but this one was just okay. LeeLee Satterfield is back from Vermont and living in Memphis again. As she struggles to find her new place in Memphis, sans ex-husband Baker, she and her two young daughters rent a house, have Kissie become an major part of their lives, and looks for a job opportunity. LeeLee is really struggling with her life now that she knows that she can survive on her own. But she is a true steel magnolia. After landing a job at a local radio station, realizing that she is not meant to date an older singer, she eventually finds an old house for sale and looks back at the point in her life when she was happy for herself. So, she is off on another bed and breakfast adventure.I really get a kick out of this series. Lisa Patton has southern women down to a "T" and I just laugh aloud at some of their antics and expressions. The whole chapter on the Elvis vigil had me hysterical.
