Head of Worth Industries, Alexander Worth works hard along side his brother Hunter to keep the company strong. He relies on his assistant Tessa Crawford to assist him. Unfortunately when she is around she is a distraction to him as he can't keep his eyes off her. Her professionalism is sometimes the only thing that keeps him away from her. Tessa has eyes only for him too but feels way beneath him. A trip overseas however breaks the wall between them and they begin a relationship that once back in the office causes confusion. Throw in a spy who makes it look like Tessa, heartbreak, and a baby and there is the book in a nutshell. Liked the idea of the book, however the heroine was wimpy and weak, the hero a little too Neanderthal and the story formula one that had been practically beaten to death. Not a re-read for me. I read this bc of all the positive GR reviews. I thought it was well-written. It was refreshing to read a contemp. NOT in the first person pov. However, while I liked it...I didn't love it. It was a longer novel that read like a short one. There didn't seem a lot of exposition or character development. I was kind of surprised how fast I read thru it. I was also expecting more heat and sexual tension. Personally, I found Hunter distracting. I kept thinking about what his book was going to be about!
