This book is gripping from the start. If you haven't read the first one in the series (Angel Fall) you should. Angel Fall was the first in the angel genre that I'd read and I'll admit I've been searching for one that is as good but I can't find one that is even close. This book was even better than the first filled with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. It is a love story in so many ways. Penryn's love for Raffe is forbidden yet powerful with no outlet except her devotion to him. Her love for her sister Paige is consuming and devoted even after Paige is abducted and changed. Even after the change, Penryn is forced to deal with loving and fearing her sister, protecting and condemning her. This book continues the wonderful story as Penryn's emotions and loyalties are pulled by her crazy mother, monster sister and mysterious Raffe with the rouge angels trying to kill them all. I can't wait for the next book!I fell in love with the first book within the first 10 pages (5% on Kindle). I devoured it and it left me wanting more. I was so anxious for this one to come out I read the first one several times before this one was finally released. This one was even better than the first! I couldn't put it down and once I was done I immediately read it again, which is something I don't do often. AMAZING BOOK. Seriously there are no word to describe this this is a amazing book and I read it TWICE both books.DYING to get my hands on the third one.I thought it had perfect writing, with perfect description and action. Not like other where they just describe and describe but you don't feel the... Magic. But in this you an actually see in front of your eyes and don't want to skip one word. Your so absorbed feels like your right there hearing all the noises.
