Good introduction to a series, with good development of the main characters, though a bit slow to present the background and magic setting. I would have preferred a little more explanation in several areas.The romance seemed a little contrived somehow and I just did not get the impression of maturity I thought should be present with characters of those ages. Interesting plotline, with an different twist on the usual human/vampire/witch/fae involvement. Generally speaking, from a personal point of view, I'd have preferred more action, more plot development and less romance. I do think readers coming from a romance reader's point of view will like this very much, however.
