Ce livre était déjà dans ma PAL US, mais le voir débarquer en France m'a trop fait plaisir !!! Alors que dire sur Witch Song ? D'abord que c'est un très bon fantastique. Moi qui suis une fan de ce style, j'ai vraiment adoré l'histoire.On suit Brusenna (Senna pour les inconnus), qui est une jeune adolescente qui ignore tout de son monde. Elle connait ses dons, mais ne sait rien de ce qui l'attend hors du cocon protecteur familial. Elle est adorable et très combative pour une ignorante (encore heureux), et pas niaise (oui, il faut le préciser). Puis, il y a Joshen. Homme à tout faire, bien qu'il soit sous-exploité pour son rôle principal, mais nous n'en tiendrons pas rigueur au vu du comportement de Senna. Après les personnages secondaires... ils ne sont pas vraiment secondaires, ni délaissés. Tous ont un rôle plus ou moins important à jouer d'ailleurs, je pense que chacun y trouvera son compte dans les tomes suivants.Maintenant, entrons dans le vif du sujet qui n'est autre que la sorcellerie. Le bien contre le mal, tout le monde connait ça mais ici le mal n'est pas celui qu'on croit. C'est comme une poupée russe, plus on en avance plus on découvre des choses et plus on se demande ce qui pourrait être pire que ce qu'on a lu précédemment. Le premier fléau qu'on rencontre, c'est la sorcière Noire Espen. Personnellement, à sa première apparition, je l'ai toute suite comparée à la sorcière Maléfique mais j'ai vite déchanté. Les scènes de combats sont bien mises en place, au vu de la sorcellerie pratiquée. Cependant, du côté du bien je dois bien reconnaitre que les sorcières sont des bitch. Oui je sais, c'est cru mais c'est ça. Mais ce sont des femmes après tout et entre nous, nous sommes bitch ;)Sinon, j'ai vraiment aimé l'univers dans lequel Amber Argyle nous invite. D'ailleurs, elle m'a bien aidé pour la suite de mon écriture. Ah ! Vous vous demandez s'il y a de la romance, euh...joker ! Je vous le conseille vivement ! Its not as good for four or five stars but not that bad for one or no stars. Again my point of view. I liked the beginning. The start was good very good and the cover is so fab. Senna I.e Bursenna is a young girl who lived with her mother in a cottage behind jungle. The villagers hate them for they are the witches though they haven't done anything wrong. The only person who is friendly to them is Sheriff . This is the story about her, her journey towards fighting the runner keeper who had caught all Keepers and Senna is last one. She can either turn her back and run away or fight for her mother and other Keepers and for betterment of workings of nature which is affected by Espen's evil. Men who are not bowing down are suffering. Senna is immature not only in age but also in her song for her mother never told her anything. And the her mother is gone to fight Espen and leaving her behind with just her dog and gold about which she had no idea till now and though it was indeed for her own good but tired of being treated as shit Senna took a gold coin and went for shopping where a witch hunter was waiting for her. And the journey begins then. Senna had many enemies but few loyal friends. Her destination is heaven but she doesn't know where it will be and here her song is ready to help. I really like the rhyming in it. Ok so yea The witch hunter is always behind her and though she is young she got her Guardian someone who's young like her. Yea at points I feel its little dragged and some events are unnecessarily placed but nonetheless its good.
