I enjoyed the novel Wish you were Dead by Todd Strasser. It had a very unique story line. I recommend it for people in high school or middle school. It is about a popular group of high school students who disappear one by one and the main character, Madison, who is a part of the popular group, is frightened and determined to find them. Throughout the novel there are typical high school things going on, like parties, cheating, manipulation, jealousy, and bullying. There is an unexpected twist at the end. This novel is similar to the Pretty Little Liars book series and television show. October 10th, 2014I am on page 51 of Wish You Were Dead by Todd Strasser. A girl named Lucy gets in a fight with her boyfriend and gets drunk at a party.A boy, Tyler and a girl, Madison are in a group called "Safe Rides" and they take people home when they get drunk or don't have a ride. They take Lucy home and are supposed to wait for her to get inside but instead they leave. The next morning they found out that Lucy never got inside. "Lucy Carringham's parents are calling her friends, looking for her? Turns out she didn"t came home last night. Did you hear anything?" (My sister didn't come home one night because she spent the night at her friend's house.) I don't like how Madison and Tyler left Lucy. They don't know if she ran away or got kidnapped. October 16,14 I am on page 100 of Wish You Were Dead by Todd Strasser.Madison has a crush on the new boy named Tyler.Madison has had a cyberstalker for almost a year now. Lucy is still missing and people begin to think she has been kidnapped.Madison and Tyler are supposed to do safe rides Saturday night.Tyler doesn't show up because of something last minute. "He called me this morning . Said something last-minute came up and he was going away for the long weekend and could I take his place." (One time I was supposed to meet someone but they cancelled and didn't come.) I like Tyler now, he is actually a very sweet and caring boy. Madison has an idea on who her cyber stalker is. Recommendations~ Str-S-d wishes three people would die in her blog. Those 3 people go missing. Madison is tired of no one helping so she starts to investigate herself. Madison receives anonymous notes saying she could be next. She needs to find this mystery out before her name ends up in Str-S-d blog. The whole story was really suspenseful. " I relate to this book becauseI also recommend this book to people who like mysteries because it . I rate this book a 4 out of five because the author added a few things that made no point to the story, like who Madisons cyberstalker is. The whole story was really suspenseful.
