Wild Girl by Patricia Reilly Giff presents a girl and her massive love for horses. This book is about a little girl and her mom died when she was five. then her dad and brother moved to America to rise horses. so she lived with her and uncle. when one day her dad called and said "I want you to move here and live to America". he was going to miss her aunt and uncle but she was ready to go live with her dad. then she remembered that her dad told her when you move out here with me I want you to bring me a lemon from the lemon tree. when she got there her dad did not remember about the lemon. Then the next week she started school. I was so scared because I don't know this language very well. when she walked in to class this little boy called her a shrimp she did not know what that meant so she just said "shrimp"?I I really liked this book it was about horses and I love horses would remand this book to everyone that likes horses just like I do. This is exactly the kind of book that I hungered for back when I was in Middle School. Anything with horses...or dogs, or cats, or animals of any sort, were high on my list of reading materials. When this book came into our library, I knew that I had to read it. It's not a big book, nor a long book, but it is a very good book. I really liked how the author told the story, simply, from two points of view - the girl & the horse. It is a story of a girl, who speaks very little English, from Brazil who comes to join her father and brother in the New York, and a horse who is has also been moved from the home that she finds familiar. The two end up together. It all comes down to building relationships all around.
