About book Wickedly Magical (2014)

This is the prequel novella. I bought it immediately after reading book 1 so Barbara Yager was already familiar to me. I enjoyed this novella. It was fun to see the interaction between the three Babas. I liked the sisterly bond that was shown. The task of the novella wasn't as in-depth as in the novel, but then again, this was a novella.I've already preordered the next in this series. I hope to see Barbara but look forward to the youngest Baba's adventures. I loved the concept. Leave it to Deborah Blake to come up with the idea of bringing a folk witch into the 21st Century with an Airstream and 21st Century manners (or lack thereof) and language. I love the smart-mouth dragon/dog, the things growing out of the carpet, and the Airstream's quirkiness--its special wardrobe and the appearing and disappearing door. Blake's light touch is similar to that of her nonfiction witch books, but, of course, much funnier. I loved the way she introduced the novel coming out soon. All great.
