About book Why We Suck: A Feel Good Guide To Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy And Stupid (2008)
Denis Leary or 'Dr.' Denis Leary as he states himself has written a satirical masterpiece. The Doctor uses his sarcastic wit to ask the true questions Americans do not want to ask themselves. Offensive , racist, and sexist Leary uses his offensive nature to insult you enough to force you to think about the real issues in America.(Side note it's wicked hilarious) One cannot push the idea that the obese , politicians and George Bush are America's major problems more than Leary. The Dr either makes your incredibly angry enough to read and think about the issues with malice or your gonna laugh so much the real issue will be stuck in the back of your head.I love to hear peoples opinions on major issues and in this book Leary talks directly at you. Picking up this book i want sure what to expect but i think i found just the door to the genre and really looking forward to reading others like it.I would definitely suggest this book to everyone as I loved it. As the first full book that I specifically written as full satire it was amazing and the fact that most of things that he says i agree with makes it so much better. Rude, Obnoxious, Inappropriate, all of those terms could be used to describe this book. Denis Leary takes the term “rant” to a whole new level. He takes the smallest flaws in our modern society and honestly rips it to shreds. It's entertaining, intelligent, a quick read, and hilariously funny but I can say I do not agree with him on some of his topics. I have actually been a fan of Denis Leary since his days on Rescue Me. This book just finds a way to get a chuckle out of you. This book is an easy read. I would recommend this book for everyone as long as you can take a good joke!
