This was my first Anna Mara read and I loved it, I’ve never laughed out loud so much as to the amount of stupidity and immaturity that came from Romeo and Juliet. This was a cute, fun and light hearted read. Juliet is on vacation with her sister Sara, trying to write up her next novel to save herself financially before she ends up declaring bankruptcy. The arrival of her unexpected next door neighbours shatters her peace, as loud music takes over and sexual nature is on full display to witness, day in day out derailing any possibility for Juliet to write and deliver her novel on time. Suffering enough disruption and fear taking over Juliet storms across and confronts her neighbour only to be blown away by Romeo, who mistakenly takes her for the personal stripper hired for him by his friends, the scenes that followed were too funny! A love hate relationship entails and all war breaks out as these two try to get one over the other, Juliet fighting for peace and quiet, whilst Romeo wanting the opposite and not backing down. There was so many funny scenes that my face ached from smiling and laughing. In the event of Romeo and Juliet trying to trap each other to get the upper hand, real feelings start to develop between them and we see another side to Romeo, but at every turn they are prevented from being together due to their own antics and Romeo’s fake ass girlfriend Carrie Ann getting in the way, god I hated the manipulative woman and I can’t believe what she shared with Romeo I hated it! I would like to have seen a confrontation between her and Juliet as she was the catalyst that kept them apart and Romeo broke Juliet’s heart, taking his revenge further with faking amnesia ruining any chance he had with Juliet despite wanting to own up due to his feelings for her taking over. Leaving Juliet to make the ultimate sacrifice for her Romeo. A beautiful fun, comical and romantic read with a hea, I would like to have seen more of an epilogue as it wasn’t enough, I really wanted to see how their future unfolded, as there wasn’t enough happy moments shared together, a novella please?! Just for the record, i'm now reading sin and savage which is Anna Mara's third book and its great so far.Why Romeo hates Juliet is even better than her perfect revenge. I laughed and cried throughout the book, well worth a read and Romeo is such a loveable chap. Loving this author however its a shame we can only get her on kindle over here in England. Saw a copy of her perfect revenge on sale on Amazon for £130, blooming cheeky if you ask me.Download these books for a great read.
