كتاب ممتع تحدث فيه الكاتب في البداية عن كيف يمكن اثبات التطور بإستخدام الاحافير والتطور الجيني وطرق الانتخاب الطبيعي وأجاب في الكاتب في صفحات الكتاب الأخيرة عن السؤال "هل لازلنا نتطور"واقتبس منه التالي:"لو اضغط زمن التطور في سنة واحدة فظهر البكتريا سيكون في مارس ونشأت الإنسان في السادسة صباحا 31 من ديسمبر والعصر الذهبي للحضارة اليونانية هو قبل 30 دقيقة قبل منتصف الليل""تخميني أن الأجناس البشرية أحدث بكثير من أن تكون طورت اختلافات هامة في الذكاء والسلوك" One of the clearest, most comprehensible science books I've ever read; this book drew the connections between different fields of study that show incredibly clearly, exactly how we know what we know. Anyone who read this and still claims disbelief is simply not getting it, not really comprehending, or is so blinkered by indoctrination that actual facts are waved away like annoying insects. This book could not lay it all out in clearer detail; it's awesomely good, AND easy to read due to Coyne's engaging style. It's a must read.
