The second book in the London Fairy Tale series, I really enjoyed Whispered Music! We learned very little about Dominique in the previous book and I wanted to know his story and why he decided to take Isabelle. I wanted to hate Dominique so badly, but when I learned what he had suffered through, I felt sad for him and hoped that he could change. Isabelle was great because she didn't put up with any of his nonsense and was a complete spitfire! I admired her courage and strength. A wonderful addition to the series, Whispered Music is a great spin on a classic fairy tale! I received a copy of this book for free. This is my honest review. Rating: mild violence, sexual references, intimate scenes (within marriage) Whispered Music was such a wonderful escape into a romance inspired by Phantom of the Opera and Beauty and the Beast! I'm a sucker for these kinds of stories and this one definitely fit the bill. In Whispered Music, Dominique Maksylov's tragic childhood has left him physically and mentally scarred. A skilled musician, his attraction to Isabelle forces him to reconcile his past. If he can't come to grips with his horrorifying memories, he will lose every ounce of his humanity and the woman he adores. Can love conquer painful memories? Will he repeat the past by becoming what he hates most? Ms. Van Dyken resolves this and more in this glorious story of intrique, loss, wit, and passion. Brava!!! Well done! I'm looking forward to more of Rachel Van Dyken's books!
