A book about second chances.Catching the love of your life screwing your best friend will tear anyone apart, but Julie was shredded. She ran, thats the only thing she thought to do. Get away from Jase and everyone. Starting over, but what she got was far worse.Coming home with a secret bigger than any, can Jase forgive Julie for her lie, the monumental one, and can she forgive and forget about his ultimate betray. Jase is home, but she hasn't realized it yet, and he's set on making her see. I enjoyed the Renegade Sons books, but to be honest, I found this book a bit boring. The story was long winded and just dull. I lacked passion, and lacked conviction and emotion.Disappointing.Heat wise. It was a romance. The sex that was in it, lacked passion, lacked heat, and was quickly over. Kinda put me off reading any others. I see the authors have put off writing any more for now in this series. But at the end of this book, it says the next book is Brandon and Bec. Hmm and at the end of this story, they've explained a situation where Bec had a baby 9 years ago, that the father doesn't know about. Yikes, nothing like nicking the storyline from this book. OK there are differences (Bec put her baby up for adoption), but really, jeez what a lack of imagination. Think up different plot lines for goodness sake !Which to be honest, is a bit of a worrying theme. I did find the second Renegade sons book had a similar plot line theme to the first book. Hmm, not good, if each series simply follow a set theme pattern over and over.
