A short MM story towards the end of a long running series with MF and MM plot lines running through it. I've not read any of the others in the series and got this one for a GR challenge category. I have read other Suzanne Brockmann books and enjoy her writing so I may have to look out for this series in my library! This story obviously fleshes out a couple of characters from the main series and I dont think they have their own story in the series. Its a fun, quick read that can be read as a standalone so long the reader acknowledges some things just 'are' and some things will not be known. Coming to the characters 'clean' I did not have any preconceived notions about them.Tony is full of his SEAL confidence, not taking no for an answer and even outing himself to his team. Adam is generally a mess and needs to grow up quick! Tony sees hunky, Hollywood star Adam as he's walking away from Jules & Robin's house, heartbroken. So the SEAL follows...Adam doesn't do STAR COLLECTORS, which he thinks the kid is, and tries to send adorably, young Tony on his way after a few paces. Tony, though, doesn't accept the brush-off that easily... In fact, he even smiles. Which makes Adam take longer notice of the hot, blue-eyed male...But when Tony doesn't hear from Adam after writing his phone number on the star's hand, Tony trades in a favor with Sam to get Adam's number. Which makes grumpy Adam, grumpier. Desperate to sate his attraction to the kid---so he calls Tony---he allows the sexy SEAL to come over...The rules per Adam: No talking, no cuddling, no getting to know each other, no questions, nothing personal, and when Tony's "done"...he is to immediatly leave Adam's! LOL, yeah...right...♥Until a call from Cheif Karmody the next morning, forces Tony out of Adam's bed, sending the SEAL "Wheels Up" with his team. Leaving Adam lying there, wondering what the heck happened to his cold heart somewhere the night before...Suzanne has always been very vague in her "romance" scenes between Jules & Robin in past books [her first famous m/m couple---which is understandable], so it honestly surprised and thrilled me when she took us farther with these two. But mostly, watching Adam go through so much in his life, and understanding the fallout between him and Jules, how bad he felt, and that he finally wanted to grow up and be loved...was nice. And to have SEAL Tony by his side, rooting for him, loving him, was just the sweet icing on this book's cake!!!
Do You like book When Tony Met Adam (2011)?
a great spin-off for Adam, and we get to see how Tony deals with the military restrictions.

I only wish this had been a book rather than a short story.

It was interesting to read how Tony and Adam really met.
