I've always been a fan of Molly Ringwald's acting, and a few years ago I became a fan of her singing, and now I have become a fan of her writing as well. This collection of short realistic fiction stories is very good, especially because the stories could stand alone but are actually interconnected as characters from one slice of life will show up in a different person's slice of life later. Unique, authentic, heartwrenching stories in this book are all connected in some way to betrayal. I'd rate this one 2.5 stars... I finished it and was interested but I wasn't thoroughly engaged and now that a few weeks have passed, I can barely remember details about the story(ies). I will admit that when I first started the book I thought it was a collection of independent short stories that weren't connected...it took me about three stories to realize that all of the characters were some how connected to one struggling marriage. The book isn't bad and isn't great...its an easy read that I'd classify as a "commercial break" between more meatier novels.
