About book When He Was Wicked: The Epilogue II (2007)
I read "When He Was Wicked" years ago. I knew at the time that there was a second epilogue, but I only recently got my hands on it. I'm giving it three stars, not because it was bad (it was pretty good), but because it was NECESSARY. The author has a short note at the beginning saying that she wrote this in response to an outcry from her readership, wanting to know if Francesca ever had a baby. The author had thought the story was over when the couple got together. Well NO, it wasn't. What Francesca wanted more than anything else in the world was a baby, and you never told us if she had one? That's not a dangling thread, it's a great big rope! So now I know. I won't tell you which way I went, but if you read and even remotely enjoyed "When He was Wicket" then you really need to find out, don't you think? Perfect! This was positively the most perfect book in the series. I have always been a fan of the quiet, more set apart from her family heroine. It is not that she doesn't love them, it's just that she is slightly different. I love this story line because it reminds me of myself. I truly felt Francesca's pain at not having a child and it made me a little teary-eyed. This was a perfect short story, Absolutely perfect!Julia Quinn has outdone herself again!
